When an 8-seat van is the right choice

  • Airport transfers both ways for a family or a small team — up to ⁦8⁩ passengers in one vehicle, instead of two taxis arriving separately and two invoices.
  • Short business trips: collecting guests from the hotel, moving between offices, a day of meetings with several stops.
  • Addresses no large vehicle can reach. A van goes anywhere a private car goes, including underground car parks and narrow access roads.
  • A small budget. A transfer up to ⁦50⁩ km costs ⁦450 ₪⁩ — the cheapest of the three vehicle types.

When another vehicle is better

  • Groups over ⁦8⁩ passengers. A child takes a seat and a belt too, and nine people already means a minibus.
  • ⁦8⁩ passengers with a large suitcase each. Once every seat is taken, luggage space shrinks — for a full airport run a minibus is better.
  • An event with group transport. Three vans cost more than one minibus and arrive at three different times.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a van to the airport cost?

A transfer up to ⁦50⁩ km costs ⁦450 ₪⁩ before VAT; beyond that each kilometre adds ⁦2.6 ₪⁩, based on real driving distance. Entering the exact address in the calculator gives you the full price in seconds, including the return flight if it is on the same booking.

Is a van cheaper than two taxis?

Usually yes, and especially with luggage. Beyond price, it is one vehicle arriving at one time at one address — no coordinating two drivers and no half the group waiting at the terminal. Above ⁦8⁩ passengers you need a minibus.

Do 8 passengers with luggage really fit?

⁦8⁩ passenger seats, not counting the driver. With ⁦8⁩ passengers and a large suitcase each it is tight — for a full airport run a minibus is better. For six passengers with full luggage, a van is comfortably enough.

Is there a surcharge for a middle-of-the-night flight?

Departure or return between ⁦21:00–06:00⁩ carries a ⁦15%⁩ surcharge, and ⁦25%⁩ on Shabbat and holidays. That applies to a lot of flights, which is why the calculator works it out up front from the time you enter and shows it as a separate line — it does not appear at the end.

Can I book a van for a whole day?

Yes. A dedicated day of ⁦10⁩ hours up to ⁦200⁩ km costs ⁦1,150 ₪⁩, and a shorter day — up to ⁦5⁩ hours — costs ⁦748 ₪⁩. That is the right option for a day of meetings or a tour with several stops, because the vehicle and driver stay with you and the waiting is included.
